Stats: 1989 Daytona Shelby
|I live in the UK, so it's not very cheap to run and maintain, apart
from the servicing. But I love it, (you Americans do know how to make cars).
I've had it for a year now and it has previously had 6 owners who must
also found it expensive to run as it has only done 47,000 miles, (yes read
it and weep!!!).
Unfortunately it's had a respray, looks like a shelby blue, but I'm hoping to one day have it resprayed to the original colour. I would also like to try and get a set of the original wheels as they to have been replaced. No other alterations have been made to it, so it's all original. So far it's had a new alternator, thermistor, head casket, plus I had a core plug go on me, which when fixed, the car kept overheating. Luckily, I have a friend of a freind who lives in Canada, so brings my parts over whenever he comes over here. At the moment I'm looking at ways to increase the boost over the 14.7 psi cutout, like fitting a cut-out raiser, an extra injector and an A/f gauge, but trying to find out if we can get them shipped over here.
