I've had this 85 Shelby charger since June of 1998. I bought
it for 800 dollars and then found out it had a blown head gasket.
I had never done any real work on engines or turbos, but I successfully
changed the head gasket and put everything back to pretty much correct
timing, so I'm pretty happy with that. I still have only driven it
like 3 times out on a major road cause it wont pass inspection because
the brake lights wont come on. Another really annoying thing is the
gas gauge reads a quarter of a tank all the time. Other than that
it's been a real fun car to work on, so much that I actually bought another
84 Shelby Charger for 300 bucks, supposedly all it needs is a new starter,
we'll see. |
