| Finally a picture of my '85 GLHT! "A Mule that will outrun a race horse -- Carroll Shelby" ...SAVED!!!. From the Bone Yard that is! I purchased this car from a Wholesale lot in the fall of '96, and these pics are in June '97. The car ran but had virtually no vacuum lines and barely a single door handle. None of the instruments worked and the only accessory that worked was the A/C. The car had 4 different tires as well. Mechanically the Motor seemed strong and only needed a new Starter and Altenator. It took 3 starters and 2 altenators before I finally found good remanufactured ones. I also upgraded the rear brakes to those off of an '88 Daytona They can be seen (Faintly) in picture #1 The car actually looks better in these pictures because the faded roof and lift gate do not really show up. The Odometer reading is not known it is currently sitting on almost 30K based on what I know it is probably 230K. I have not raced this car yet so I do not know the 1/4 mile times it will make but it is pretty quick and I love scaring the P out of Mustangs and Camaros and even an occasional Vette!!! The car is runnning about 10-11 PSI of boost with a bleed, and I think it should run in the 15's. But that is not where the fun is!!! |
