Mopar Performance MPI Intake Manifold Install

The install is completed, and here is a comprehensive list of pretty much EVERYTHING you will need to complete the project. Here is a list of part numbers (where applicable) and prices:

-You should probably allow another $25.00 for parts I have not included becuase I had them around. This includes hose clamps, utility knife blades, shop rags, hack saw blade, etc.

*Thanks to Sean for the part numbers for the thermostat and water neck!!
** Do not necessarily need this part. Mine was stuck on pretty good so I had to cut it to remove it. It would probably be better to go with the Magnum style by-pass hose though because I had to cut this one down as it was to long.
*** These parts should be available at a good hardware/fastner type store.

I will eventually have install data up on this intake. Mine is currently on my truck and running fine, no problems what so ever! I am in the process of developing an adapter plate (that I hope to mass produce) so that the A/C compressor can be moved over about 1" for radiator hose clearance.

This is the MPI intake. Looks very similar to the M1 intake!! In fact, the M1 logo is cast into the intake behind water neck, the only difference is the bosses for the injectors are cut, so this intake will drop right into a Ram with a Magnum V8, with a little modification.

In order to use the factory throttle body this adapter is INCLUDED with the manifold!! That in it self is pretty cool. The other thing that is interesting is that Mopar Performance makes/sells a 4 bbl throttle body that will work with this intake. I plan to add that eventually, but right now Ill stick with my Quick D TB on top of the intake, its alot cheaper than the 500 bucks for the 4 bbl!

This is the older style water neck that is needed to be used with this intake. The Magnum style is smaller and wont work with this intake. This isn't a bad thing, a larger throat should promote more fluid flow, so that cooling the engine can be made a little easier (in theory).
This is the intake with the adapter on top. The adapter is suppose to actually put the factory TB at stock height, so all the different style cold air setups should work just fine.
This is looking inside the intake at the runners, and this thing should flow good.... almost looks scary!!!
I will have more later.......... I now have the intake installed, and running on my truck, so this mod does work, with little hassle if you have some mechanical ability!! :)
